Ouch, that hurt
I was experimenting with using the left hand to stretch the skin to get a closer shave today. Between the hand movements and lost concentration I wacked the back of my fingers with the blade. I'm thinking maybe I should keep the left hand safely tucked at waist level from now on! The cut wasn't bad enough for stitches, but it was worse than anything I've ever done to the face.

I can guarantee you'll never loose concentration again so see, there is a positive to come out of that incident.

Once you experience how sharp the blade really is, you tend to remember it
After slicing off my ring finger's nail at work, I've never forgoten how much curl to use on my fingers again...

You shouldn't fear the blade, but you should always respect it. When you lose your respect for the blade, that's when you will cut yourself up...
Of course, accidents can, and will, happen even if you are really careful.

I did something like that a couple of weeks ago. Luckily, I placed the blade right on my fingernail and had time to stop before it cut. Gives me the willies just thinking about it.

A co-worker was asking about "how the SR shaving was going" and I gave him an update, adding that you must pay attention and not get cocky...those little bits of toilet paper stuck to your face a God's way of adding some humble pie to your diet.
However, accidents will happen.
