[QUOTE=saj1985;1925379]you know when it comes to sharpening the straight razor (horning) can you use a rotary tool or is it better to use those sanding blocks or whatever theyre called to sharpen?[/QU

Thanked: 556Welcome to SRP.
Use the rotary tool for sharpening garden tools and keep it away from the straight razors! Take a look at the honing threads and watch some of the Youtube vids by gssixgun to get an idea of the equipment that should be used to put a shave-ready edge on your razors.
I also have a beard, but not full and use my straight razors to form it the way I want. I do not shave my head, mostly because getting older is doing a lot of that work for me, but there are many members here who do and can provide advice if you want to try using a straight razor to do that.David

Thanked: 556I have never seen eyebrow razors before. Interesting.
I’m not sure I would bring a sharp blade that close to my eye with my eye shut. I wonder if it is being used by a hair dresser.
It looks like a small shavette, which is essentially a straight razor with a disposable single edged blade. There are some posts on SRP dealing with shavettes you might want to read through just to see if that is a good choice for you before going full bore into cut throat razors.David
