    Default SWWWEEEEEEEEEEEETT!!!!!!!

Last night's shave confirmed my love of str8's. No pulling, no nicks, no cuts, no burn... and BBS!!!!! It was also my quickest shave to date.

To all the other newbies out there: I have only been shaving with a str8 for the past 1.5 months and with each shave I have noticed my technique steadily improving. The prep, the stretching of the skin, the blade angle and pressure, and shaving with my left hand. These are all skills that do develop (just as honing and stropping). Time, patience, and practice do make a difference.

That is great to hear GoTeeGuy, posts like this continue to solidify my feeling that this is definitely the direction I need to go for shaving Uetopia!

It is quite exciting is it not when you realize you are now getting BBS shaves with a str8 in the same amount of time as a DE.
    Congrats

With 4 months under my chin I find I'm still learning a few bits now and again. 2 passes and alls well. I've only nicked myself 3 times that I can remember and none where enough to worry about.

Just nut up and do, every shave gets better, every shtrop teaches you a little bit more. Hone jobs get better, just jump in and take a swim.

Good post, let's everyone know how little time it takes to get good.

(ok typing without the morning caffine is a bad thing...)

What exactly is "BBS"? Baby's butt smooth? Heh. I see this abbreviation used quite a bit but I've had to guess at its meaning.
