    Default Hey Guys.

I feel like I'm at an AA meeting.

Hi, my name is Jay and I've become addicted to straight razors.

I've been a member of the B&B forum for a while. actually I found the SRP first. I was starting to try to shave with my grandfathers old straight and was looking for info. I lurked around here for a while then found B&B and got interested in the DE's. I started collecting them, got a bad case of DE RAD and stopped using my straights. Only going back in the last month.

Now my original goal of re-learning how to use a straight (you might say my sanity) has returned so I'm back where I started.

So this is just a way to introduce myself. I live in Texas, near Houston. I work as a lab tech for a petrochemical company (quick duck to avoid thrown tomatoes). and I'm looking forward to learning a lot here. I've ordered Lynn's DVD and started watching it last night.

    Welcome over here Jay,

I see nothing wrong working for petrochemical company - anything for getting those razors paid for. Speaking of which - do you think TIPTLE would fix your RAD? There was a speculation recently that the way to avoid RAD is to get the razor you want, but that was quickly dismissed.

    Cheers

Welcome! Good news: once you realize that straights provide a superior shaving experience to DEs, you'll also realize that you no longer need all those DEs you've accumulated . . . so you can sell them to fund your straight RAD.

I'm afraid I'm going to reinforce that result. I find myself spending a lot of time at Maestro Livi's site and at Mr.Williams site trying to figure out "which one next?"

I've already started. I'm going to be selling most of them I think. There will be a few I keep..

Given the way you keep selling off your high-end razors, most of us are wondering what you are going to buy with the money

I imagine more high-end razors! Seems to me Iwan's got this thing going.... with a single outlay on a high end razor, he can re-sell, recoup most of the money, to buy and try another new high-end razor. That way he gets to try the world's best razors for a minimal sum.

    Tell me I'm wrong Iwan!
