Thread: identify razor, Greaves & sons, when was it made

Hey everyone i bought a Greaves & sons straight razor years ago and i wanted to know more about it, it is what made me start collecting and restoring straight razors, its one of the first straight razors i bought and still i have not restored it because if i were to soften a line or mess up a facet i would never forgive myself and i have never seen one like it, its the most badass elegant beautiful mean and down right nasty blade ever made in my opinion. If you know anything about it please share it with me, theres a name and date scratched into the scale that says Ed Peterson and the number either 35 or 37.

I have one that’s very nice. It’s a pre sheaf works so made between 1816 and 1821
