    Default nicking near mustache

been using the straight for a week now and getting better and faster at it. i only shave under and over a trimmed beard and around the moustache. seems easier to start against the hairline of the beard and go against the grain on the first pass as my beard line is getting smaller going the other way first, always removing a little more beard. doesnt seem to be a problem to do this first for me with an ATG pass first. the trouble spot were i seem to get the nick is on the moustache line, would this be because of the first pass being an ATG pass or maybe because the skin gets too taught (more so than the neck line). maybe a lower angle in this area with the blade?

If you've got the place well lubricated with shave soap and water and you're still nicking maybe try a closer angle. Several users here keep a goatee or mustache. I'm sure someone will share their methods soon. Congrats on doing so well so quickly.
