Thanks for the report, Sandy. I've only passed The Perfect Shave once and there was too big a queue to hang around for a chat. I was slightly alarmed to see a nasty chip in their display TI, though! Maybe it was strictly display only.
One soap I have recently tried was the Shetland Soap Company's which I was very impressed with. It was £7 or so and although the packaging wasn't anything spectacular, it performs very well and has a good refreshing scent. I got it in Kirkwall but I don't know if it's available on the mainland. There's always the internet again, I suppose.

Was it the Kingarth Hotel you got your steak at? I've certainly enjoyed a few meals there. And got a fair number of hangovers too.
