Thread: It's Here

My str8 razor set arrived from Jim @ Vintage Blades this morning. Great looking set with lots of goodies to try. Wanted to try it right away, but the weather had turned for the good (been raining for the last couple of weeks) so it would have to wait until after a mountain bike ride.
After the ride & a hot shower I went for it. The lather went pretty well, not as thick as expeted but we do have hard water here. The shave went pretty good, one nick on a ingrown hair or pimple. Only made one pass with the grain & then company showed up so finished up with the disposible.
I'ts goiing to take some getting used to, shaving with the left hand as well as trying to get the str8 around my pointed chin. All & all though it went pretty well. Way better than the dull razor I made a few passes with last week.
I'll try stroping it before my next shave, hopefully I won't screw up the edge.

Now I all growd up. Have to convince my kids of that though.

LOL, Congrats Keith on your new razor...the shaves will get better
