    Default Brush care

I paid quite a bit for a top quality silver tip badger brush and am slowly watching it disappear down the plug hole, I shave i rinse the brush in hot water and then I rinse in cold water then it is hung upside down in a stand and every time I shave I have to pull hairs from my brush off my face, what is the secret to stopping my brush going bald quicker than me.

Well, first off, once you've rinced the brush after shaving, do you give it a good squeeze and/or shake to get out hairs? If you don't do that a lot of water will be left in the brush.

However, you might have a "shedder", a brush which just isn't as good as it's supposed to be. If you're taking care of your brush, it certainly shouldn't shed hairs every shave, and in my opinion you should return it to get a new one (if possible).

I rinse then shake then rinse with cold water then I towel dry it and hang it up, only been shedding for the last half dozen shaves before that it was fine, I dont think that I have changed anything in my routine had the brush 6 months so would be hard to take it back now.

I just rinse mine out to make sure that there's no soap residue, a few vigorous shakes and hang it in the stand. No problem.

Perhaps you might inquire of the place that sold you the brush. Explain your problem and ask if any other users of the same brush have experienced any difficulty. Might get you somewhere - might not. Can't hoight!

I would return it describing the problem and ask for a replacement. I had one like that and they upgraded my brush, as there were others doing the same thing upon further investigation they found out the company had changed knot manufactures.

Yes its not uncommon to have a brush that's a dud. It happens with every brand. All brushes will loose a few hairs at first and an occasional one after that but not what you describe. I would send it back to wherever you got it and ask for a replacement.
