Got the Str8 shave right today :) First time
Aaahhh it was a delightful evening. I drew a sink full of hot water.
Let soak Kent Shave cream and a Simpson T4 along with a porcelain lather bowl.
While this was soaking I stropped, ~ 50 times a beaut of a blade from the SER passaround. A ESPE, Nagin Solingen I was holding a HOT towel to my face for a few minutes. Now I was ready.
I mashed and brushed and twirled up a sniggle of Kent cream producing a lovely thick, meringue lather. I took the Simpson T4 laden with lather to my face. A splendid coating it was.
I took a deep breath and started to shave...SPLENDID...
Not concerned with the carnage that I wraught on my face in previous Str8 attempts.
Well I tell you. I WAS IN THE ZONE!
Three passes and not a drop of blood to be seen. This is not a BBS but it is swell.
Followed up with Alum bar, Corn Huskers lotion and after I dried the razor and let my face dry I put some Truefitt & Hill Spanish Leather Cologne.
What a WONDERFUL STR8 experience...
I know and accept that I will be out of the ZONE on occasion but it is a start...

Well done! It's a great feeling to be in the `zone',
and in time that will be more and more frequently!
Keep it up, and enjoy

It sounds as if you experienced a first shave that few are fortunate to get. Way to go.
