First time I go asking...
First time I go asking.
I went out of town and found a small barber shop. The owner is 82 years old and still cutting hair. I asked if he had any razors that he wanted to depart with. He went to the basement and came back with a basket full of razors. He had about twenty ++ of them plus three old, very old paddle strop.
After negotiating with him here is what I came back with (he kept the best one but I'LL BE BACK
Here is my morning findingsā¦
From left to right
- #227 Dovo Sculptor, Frritz Bracht, Solingen, Germany (about 3/8)
- Kain-Abel Red, , Solingen, Germany,Schute Marke (4/8)
- GENCO Grant, Genne, Ny, USA (5/8)
- #125 Wolrd Master Reg. Made specialy for Anderco Import co. , Solingen, Germany (6/8)
- #177 Wolrd Master Reg. Made specialy for Anderco Import co. , Solingen, Germany (in red) (5/8)
- Boker & Co. King Cutter Solingen (5/8)
- #67 KB Extra, Krusius Brothers, Germany (6/8)
- Emil Kronenberg Sen. (5/8)
The red #177 World Master is heavily rusted but all the others are quite restorable. The Boker as a broken scale.
I would like to know where to get pins and how to replace them (take off and put back on). If there is a thread on this can you please post it, I can't find any.

Thanked: 22Thats a nice haul. I must be blind coz I don't see any rust on any of them.
If you check the restoration section there should be info on repinning, also there Lynn touches on this in his DVD, well worth getting.

Thanked: 2209Very well done! You had the advantage of being able to see them in person instead of guessing at a pic on Ebay.
Now be sure to go back to him and ask about the hones that he may have.Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin
