Thanked: 15 weeks on
Hi all. It's been about 5 weeks I've been using a straight and I am utterly addicted. Apparently the human male thinks of sex every 7 minutes. That might be true, but I think of straight shaving every 4 minutes. I hate the 24 hours in between shaves, watching the clock, peering at my (invisible)stubble, urging it to grow faster to it's inevitable slaughter! Okay, so I got bit carried away, but you get the picture.
First thing - thank you all for being here. This is an awesome site sull of magnanimous fellas that have helped me immensely.
Secondly a q:
I have dry skin and every shower is followed by facial moisturizer. As such, my post-shave routine is cold water then moisturize. However, on days I go atg (getting the hang of this lingo now!) I get itching for the next few hours. Is this normal, or is there something that would alleviate this (bear in mind dry skin)?

Hey bud ... I've got pretty sensative and dry skin too ... have you tried some Trumpers Coral skin food ? I think theres a thread about it here somewhere .
One other product I love and use is Molton Brown Ultra Light Bai Ji .. It's not cheap but it's awesome IMHO

On my next trip into the Molton Brown shop I'm gonna try this stuff as well , Daily Skin protector

... If your going on a spending spree in Molton I tell everyone .. try the Black Pepper Shower gel, I did about 8 yrs ago and I haven't used anything else since .
Cheers . Garry

Thanked: 1Thanks, Garry. My gf is nuts about MB but I think they are overpriced. I can't wait until Colleen comes out with stuff for the shower!
I've always used Kiehls moisturizer, but today I indulged my addiction and purchased Proraso cutting edge after shave balm. The Kiehls is perfect for my dry skin, but shaving ATG gives me an itch I hope the Proraso will scratch.
