    Default Lather??

I was trying to lather up...and it just seems weak. On a post I saw (with some good pictures) it said, "load the brush" and show it a little moist with a tiny bit of lather...in the next picture, it was like BAM!, great lather... so how do I load, then get a good lather. I have a low badger brush (boar was too rough)...Vulfix Pure Badger Brush.

    pltrumpkid,
I'm a newbie too, and I've had the same problems with lather. First of all read this if you haven't already: http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=21136
This, along with a little advice from Blase helped me out. He suggested making bowl after bowl of lather trying different techniques, amounts of water, etc. For me I was not using nearly enough water in my lather. I thought I needed more soap which gave me a small amount of lather, but it was really thin (like I could see right through it.) Then I started adding a lot more water than I usually do and found I had more lather than I had bowl to put it in. Hope this helps, and as I said before, I am a noob and not trying to give out "expert" advice, just commenting on a similar problem that I had. Take care!

Loading is the process of pressing/compressing the bristles and spinning the brush. Your loading the brush with soap.

Most people have problems with the ratio of water/soap, thats where to start. But a lot of people don't understand that the brush is used to add air. You want to whip the soap into a lather.

Sometimes this whipping is a very violent operation. . .

now now Alan... leave your private life out

i prefer to beat my lather until it foams, you just got to get enough air in there.
    Be just and fear not.
