Thread: Should I Shave Before I try my Straight Razor for the first time?

Terrible news, I accidentally put my zip code from home down on my order form instead of my zip code at school, which messed up the post office and I won't be getting my straight razor until tomorrow now at the earliest

One...props to ordering a razor to start practicing the art of shaving like a man. Second...I have been shaving for some time now (at least 2 years), but I have to be clean cut. I've had off for the past month, and let my beard grow for a week. I have fast growing whiskers and after a week had a thin beard. I took the straight razor to it without a problem.

Granted I have experience and if this is your first time shaving, shave every two days...it will allow you some whiskers to see the progress you are making and where you need to practice and also allows the blade to set before stropping again.
