WOW. I'm truly shocked that NONE of you get irritation at all by shaving every day!

I guess my skin is just really sensitive? I would say I have to keep shavings to at least 4 days apart. AT LEAST lol I tried shaving one time one day after another a while ago, but I couldn't even finish because the irritation was beyond belief

I tend to get irritated (not razor burn)......and not shave any hairs with less than 3 days of growth. It sucks....having so many nice soaps/razor/brushes too

Once a day, everyday. I had trouble doing this at the start but getting my technique dialed in let me do it everyday.

You guys getting razor burn. Prep is the key.

This is what I do for a shaving routine. I shower, dry off except my beard. I place my brush in the lather bowl in the sink, start running hot water into the bowl, and let the sink fill up. As the water is filling the sink, I massage in a few drops of pre-shave oil. I then build my lather, lather my face, and then place my lather bowl in the sink full of hot water on top of my scuttle. I then prep my razor. After prepping my razor, I then transfer the warm lather to the warm scuttle and relather. Then I shave. After I shave each quadrant of my face, I relather my whole face. I only need two full pass for a very good shave. After the shave, I rinse the blade in running hot water dry and place in my razor mug not fully closed so it can dry all day. I then rinse out the brush and scuttle. I switch the water to cold, rinse my face, leave it wet and then run an alum block all over the shave area. I let my face air dry as I do deodorant and topknot. By the time I'm done with that my face is dry and I apply after-shave then if feel like it, a cologne mist. Viola, this takes me no longer then ten or twelve minutes. Plus or minus a minute for admiring my shave.

I do not experience razor burn at all and I shave everyday. I can do the shave in two passes, I have very sharp razors.

I make sure that my blade is at it's sharpest, use no pressure (let the weight of the blade do the work) and use the thickest of lather to protect my face from any mistakes I may make. This morning I was pretty aggressive on the mustache area and was suprised (relieved) that I didn't get razor burn. I attribute this to whipping up the thickest of lather. Dont be afraid to splurge on the finest soaps and creams. They pay for themselves over again by protecting and lubricating your face. Also avoid alcohol based sftershaves until you get a good shaving technique. There are many great and masculine smelling shaving balms out there that will help combat razor irritation. My .02 cents.

Well i try to shave no more than once a day, 3 passes... often i skip a Saturday, but it is frowned upon.
that much irritation sounds bad... tell us about your razor and your prep...
    Be just and fear not.
