    Default newbie with wapenica

    hey guys

    just got my wapenica from mike today and needed some advice. The blade is coated in motor oil, can I use white spirit to clean it off, or some form of alcohol like rum? If yes then what do I do, just leave it to dry then wipe it down, Im really anxious to do ma first straight razor shave but I wanna make sure I do it right

    I could be wrong but I doubt Mike would put motor oil on a blade...I just got mine in the mail as well and it looks like some type of gun/knife lubricant such as Tuf-Glide or Miltec-1. Just wipe it gently with a soft cloth making sure not to touch the edge.
