Thanks to all posters...
I actually did it once, with red and irritation all over my neck (and neck only!). However, this was with my disposable straight -- I will wait until tomorrow to use the DOVO again! Thanks guys

I shave every day without a problem...sometimes at less than 24 hours; depends if I have time in the morning or not.
It may just take some aclimation. I have fairly sensitive skin, but after a week my face became used to the new sensations.

It really depends on your skin and how fast your beard grows.
From personal experience learning with DE and now a straight, if I have a bad shave I usually wait a day so I don't irritate my skin.

Since I am in the Military, we tend to get a bit fussy if one's not clean shaven daily!
I have a light beard and sensitive skin but shave each morning. The need to shave daily and reduce/eliminate irritation is a very big reason I started using a srt8!
Light pressure and a couple of light passes (did I mention light), followed with a hot water rinse, cold water rinse and aftershave (mixed 1:1 with witch hazel) has worked very well for me.
