Cool I love my new wapi

    Dear Flora:
You are a goddess of steel. The way your spine tingles my cheek as I scrape your grind brings me to a higher spiritual plane with our daily "occupations."Now that I know you, I have known no others, none that make me feel so BBSmooth; you the dangerously beautiful cutthroat in my bath tote.

Or if I really wanted to get campy:

    Dear Flora:
You are a goddess of steel.
    The way your spine
    tingles my cheek as I
    Scrape your Grind
    brings me to
    a higher spiritual plane with
    our daily "occupations."

    Now that I know you,
    I have known no others
    None that make me feel
    BBSmooth;

    You,
    the dangerously
    beautiful cutthroat
    in my bath
    tote.

Just bought a new Polish surplus Wapi from the man ol' Kenrup. I'm completely satisfied. Boy, I didn't even have to strop it when he handed it to me. It looks beautiful and shaves beautifully. The step to the half-ground blade seems to do me well, I may even step to a wedge, but I don't like to commit to the future. Well gentlemen, another satisfied and capable apprentice of SRP off and running. Give yourselves a hand.

Yeah, those Wapis are something aren't they? Heavy scales, but bloody hell, what a nice shave! Smooth, close, comfortable and dirt cheap! I love mine as well.

There's a technique that uses the extra weight of the scales to put more inertia behind your swipe. Instead of balancing them against your fingers, balance it at the fulcrum and make it all one. I know you'll notice a different implement in your hand then. But, I have a tough beard so I have to get all that I can out of a half ground.

Hey Kenrup's the man and Kenrup+Wapi=Poetry! Ken has put a great edge on all my ebay "finds" and has done some beautiful restores for me also.

I'm extremely jealous of those with Wapi's...I would LOVE to try one. However, my wife won't let me spend any more money until the razor box is finished

    One day...
