Thread: Who's excited? I'm excited!

I just had the best shave of my life. Prepare for an in-depth story...

Thanks to the recommendation of Mr. Golem, I received my AoS samples in the mail and I put them to use immediately!

I made my first SUPER-LATHER, mixing their unscented Shave Cream w/ Coleen's Cavendish Black soap. While the mug soaked in hot water, I applied the pre-shave oil followed by a steam towel, and went right to stropping up my Geneva 5/8 Spike.

Once the razor was stropped, I applied the super-lather and went to town. First, a WTG pass starting with the cheeks, then neck, chin, and the "Coupe de Maitre" on the upper lip. AMAZING! The shave was SO smooth, no nicks, and my face NEVER dried out! I re-applied lather and started again, WTG, this time using a scything motion. After the pass was complete, I realized that NO further attention was needed to the cheeks and neck (WOW!).

Feeling brave, I started an ATG pass on the chin and upper lip. This is mostly because I always have a bit of stubble left on these areas. Amazingly, ATG worked incredibly, and my entire face was BBS!!

To finish, I wrapped my face in another steam towel while I cleaned up the razor and bathroom. I applied a small amount of witch hazel, followed by the AoS aftershave balm, and then a little Aqua Velva for scent. I have NEVER had such a smooth face, and the best part is: NO IRRITATION! Not one single bit. No nicks, nothing.

I'm excited! That sounds awesome. And now I'm also more excited to get started straight shaving. Gotta start saving more pennies...
