Nice- I found those a year ago and have been looking for one ever since..... I wonder if anyone has any experience with them regarding the effects on the edge of the razor....

You know that severe abuse like this to your Boker will get you banned from the brotherhood...
Just to be safe, and prevent anything like that, you should send us all of your razors, and we will in return provide you with a years supply of blades for a Mach3

    +1 to that

It happened to me too...I bough a nice little shaver from Izlat a while back when I was first starting out...and, I liked to rinse with the blade facing the stream of water...until...well, the edge met the faucet and things weren't ever quite the same...

I wasn't every quite the same...

I use a foam beer cooler. They're way cheaper that that rubber thing. The foam cooler doesn't effect the blade as you use it. In time the lip of the cooler gets sliced up but getting a new one is no financial hardship. IMO, I think the more sliced up it gets, the better it cleans the blade. That rubber looks kinda hard to me.

I just had a thought- am I the only one who just swishes the blade in the sink full of water?
I've never found running water any better for non straight shaving, and the hassle of turning it on and off is not worth it..... And no, I've not introduced a blade to a faucet or the sink......yet......

I swish, It also warms the blade too. Warm lather, warm blade.

At first I thought that I should never get to meet you, let alone as it came to pass, this lovely Sunday morning where we quite unexpectedly bumped into one another.
Although you may seem crude and unforgiving to some, I see you as an opportunity to better myself. For now, through additional experience, the hand that guides us all through life, can do so again much earlier than previously planned.
Maybe I will reach a new level of keen, unrivalled by my peers, so that I may become favourite.

This was one of the funniest posts I've ever read. I busted out laughing just at the subject line.

You can find those rubber bowls here

    http://www.razorandbrush.com/barberiaaccess.html

and they're only $5. I believe that ebay posting listed it for the bargain price of $10. :-) I use one and thinks it works quite well.

The cat is always fascinated by my shaving/showering routine. He is so fascinated that he often becomes a participant. I use him to clean my razor.
