Thread: Just to try it out...

I was thinking of picking up one of the disposable straights just to try things out a couple times until I can afford to get a decent real straight and a strop etc. Anyone know where I can pick one up? I looked at a few places like Target and Walgreens. Any other ideas?

I have this one Magic razor
it works ok for what it is. I still use it for travel.

Save up for a bit though if you can a real straight and starter stro paren't terrible expensive as long as you don't get carried away.

Only online, aye? Oh well. I guess I'll have to wait a wee bit for order and shipping etc. How do you like the cheaper one you have? I don't want to spend as much as the Dovo, as that's almost as much as a real straight anyway.

Try a beauty supply store that is where I found mine.

Do not spend 30 dollars on a shavette. His system holding is plastic and finish crack. My cost 4.5 euros and holding system is steel in a hairdresser shop supplies.

It works just fine. It has all the problems and difficulties you hear about with the feather or shavette so I figure it is on par with them

Check out Sally Beauty supply they might have something, If it doesn't say it take hold a DE blade on the package though I'd skip buying it I hate to have to try to find Propitiatory blades like some of the "hair shapers" take. I have to get in there pretty soon for some other stuff I want, I'll try to check out what they have when I go.
