Sorry you got cut, that's a bummer.
I'll take the serious road for a moment and tell you not to shave there until it is totally healed. I gave myself a cut nearly two inches long, let it heal (sorta) and proceeded to shave after a few days. That was a big mistake because the razor edge caught the new meat and opened it right up. The scar might look a bit masculine, but I would rather not have it.
You Decide...
Best Regards, Ken.

Steve,
Any pics of the KTM? I have a buddy looking at the Ducati and Aprilia Supermotos. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the tip...I'll probably lay off that area for a while.

Do you mean the Ducati Hypermotard and the Aprilia SXV 550 twin?
The Ducati is a beautiful bike--much better looking than the KTM, I think--but most think the KTM rides better. Unlike the Ducati, the KTM has very high quality, long-travel suspension, which gives it more "supermoto" credibility and means it deals better with rough roads.
From what little I know of the Aprilia, it's a very impractical, high-strung motorcycle. Since I need a somewhat practical, all-around motorcycle, I didn't consider it strongly. I understand the scheduled maintenance requirements are absurd---something like oil changes and valve checks every 1,000-1,500 miles.
