First shave is in the books!
Well, today was like christmas. My razor that AL (Blackstangal) sent me showed up along with a strop, brush, mug, soap that I had ordered from Classicshaving. I counted the hours down until work was over and I could rush home.
4'oclock rolls around I rush home, take a nice long hot shower and then proceed to get my shave on. Everything went absolutly great. I've been reading all I can while I was waiting on stuff to show up. I have also ordered Lyn's DVD but it hasn't come in just yet. I decided I would go ahead and give it a go, worse that could happen is I get some new "battle scars". Needless to say all went well and it felt amazing. I only got two tiny tiny little nicks around my adams apple area where I was pulling skin and trying to find a good angle to get the hair. These barly showed a trace of blood and by the time I cold water rinsed and spashed some aftershave on you can't even see there was a nick to begin with.
Hardest part was finding a way to get the direction I wanted without feeling akward. I took my time through the shave, two passes took me somewhere around 30 mins but it was so worth it. I have never (an neither has my wife) ever felt my face this smooth. I did have a little handicap as I have a goatee so I missed out on trying to get the harder angles around the chin and upper lip that people mention.
Anyway just thought I would share my experiance as I am hooked from the first shave. I am just waiting now to see if I will experiance much if any razor burn which has always been a problem when using cartrige style razors.
