Fir"s"t Time
So to expand a little, sorry if Im posting an extension of my story the wrong way, I've never posted anything before-anywhere! I got so impatient waiting for my shaving kit from classicshaving that I've bought five other straights from antique stores- tried sharpening( with no guidance) and even broke one down and made what I believe to be a beautiful cocbolo handle. Today finally I recieved my set at work, this morning I new it was coming and even shaved only my neck, chin and lip leaving my cheeks so I could try it out as soon as it arrived. So needless to say I didnt take the time I should of because I didnt even have enough hot water at work to do the job properly, but it worked well enough that no one looked twice or anything. Anyhoo - terribly excited about this all and glad to find others with similar interest, thanks for being here!

Thanked: 3795Wow, talk about jumping in head first. I can't believe you took apart a razor and made new scales before you even got started shaving.
Welcome to you, and I will watch for your postings in the restoration area!
