Thread: Another greetings message from a Newbie

Gentlemen,

After spending an unspeakable amount of time soaking in all the information found on this website, I believe it is time to make my presence known. First, I would like to thank each and every one of you for not just your love of straight razor shaving but your willingness to share that love, and the knowledge that comes with it, with those of us who are new. I have been told by many people that I have an "old soul" despite only being 26 years old. They say this because I enjoy partaking in the masculine activities of a by gone era, such as: smoking a pipe, becoming a Mason, talking politics, and now shaving with a straight razor. These things are just a few of the many that have been lost to generations of men. However, you fine gentlemen, through this website, remind each and every man of the things that make men, men. So, if i'm considered an old man for appreciating the finer things in life, to hell with them!

Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't thank Ken on the forum for going above and beyond in helping me get started. Out of the blue, I emailed him and picked his brain on so many different topics. He was able to widdle down the information on the site for me, and even sold me my first truly shave ready razor (Hoffritz 5/8), strop, and brush.

I look forward to conversing with you all through the forum and/or PM's. Here's to reminding more men of their heritage!
