Thread: My second shave, done!

Okay so, second shave is down. This one was similar to first, but with my new Wostenholm Pipe I bought from gssixgun!

I didnt bother stropping since I dont have mine yet, and dont want to risk messing up my edge on newspaper. So, hot water rinse to get off oil and went to work.

Showered, made lather, hot towel, applied lather, shave. I did WTG and ATG. Not any major cuts, normal newb nicks and dots of blood. Used my Aqua Velva aftershave (ice blue). I just got some of my bay rums, the Pinnaud is nice, the Caribbean smells like ... well, it was bad at first. Now, not so bad.

Here are all my goodies as of this very moment, however, not pictured are my TM strops, my Kropp 5/8, my Clauss 5/8 and my Wapi. I also have a GT scuttle on the way as well as some mamabear soaps.

Use a basic coffee mug w/ puck of Williams, and a squirtage of my Bigelow in the bowl for lather .. goin to buy some glycerin soon. I do have a brush stand, its stuck onto my mirror out of the way -- brush is boars hair from CVS $5.50.

Well done and congrats on buying something sharp, I bought something new thinking it was sharp and have been trying to hone it properly ever since. Didnt know about this site at the time. Have gotten my DOVO to pop hairs, but only on part of the blade . I'll git-r-down one of these days, until then I'm gonna buy something sharp from here for a reference. Nice looking stuff- isnt shaving fun now?!

Cool! Just think, pretty soon you will need a wide angle lens to shoot pictures of all your gear.
