Have you tried flexing the cup out of either of these. On the Dovo type leather it seems to hold for a day or two, on Latigo a good deal longer.
I grab then at the top with my hand, fingers on one side, heel of my hand on the other and give a slight bow to it to counteract the cup then slowly run my hand down the length of the strop once or twice. This seems to fix things for a while.
I was surprised that on a cupped Jemico I own if I let it go slightly slack the weight of the razor flattens it's cup easily. I have had a few though that simpy had a mind of their own and would refuse to flatten!
I didn't feel you were bashing at all, jut wanted to offer some suggestions...no worries! I do want my stuff to work perfectly so was hoping to figure what was going on to create what you are finding. I would be glad to look at it if there is an issue and do what I can.
