Thread: What is a reasonable starting price for a razor?

I've also been reading for days and wondered the same thing!
Then I see the advertisement for the starter kits on the banner on the left side of the screen.
Some seem like good deals, some may be cheapies and some seem like really high prices!
Yes, I know different quality in the products reflect on prices...but I'm still lost!!!
I've heard don't buy Zeepk...but what products should I not buy from them???

I would like to get a starter kit thats honed and ready to go...so I know what I'm looking for an can experience a good shave.
I'm not discouraged though!

Prices on a shave-ready razor? Oh, anywhere between $30-$1000. :

If you watch the B/S/T, you can grab a nice one for reasonably cheap. Anywhere else, and you'll either spend around $100 OR run the risk of getting a cheap dull razor that you THOUGHT was shave ready! Like eBay.

You could definitely go the route of Kenrup's starter sets....can't go wrong that way.

Well, using the advice of others on this site I decided to go with a Kenrup starter set!
At least I'll be able to cut myself with quality!!!

If you're looking specifically for a wapienica, which I hear is a good starter, I believe mike_ratliff sells them shave ready from his website. That said, I've heard great things about Ken's work and I can personally attest to his strops, so weigh your options...
