    Default 1/2 Blade

You probably are talking about a shavette by Dovo or Sanguine. I have used Crystal, Feather, Derby, and Wilkenson. My preference is the Crystal. However, the Derby is very similar to the Crystal. The Wilkenson and Feather seem harshly sharp.

    Default Try a dovo shavette

Hi, Ive been using a Dovo Shavette, and just recently got some long blades to go in it. These long blades are a fair bit more expensive, but good around the cheek area. I read that it is more like shaving with a straight razor because of the length, I use my blade for about a week before changing, which makes it very economical to shave with, and a new blade is super sharp out of the packet.

I also have a Dovo Shavette and I like the long Dovo blades very much.
I'm new at wet shaving and still having problems with the area under my lower lip, but I'm not giving up.
The shavette is specialy good for travel, no need to carry a strop.

    Thumbs up

I also have a Dovo Shavette, but I prefer the Fromm blades (green holder) over the others because they are even sharper, but also more rigid. See all three types here.

I got myself a sanguine with wilkinson blades because I just can't seem to get my two str8's sharp enough. It gave me a great shave first time out but kinda feels like cheating??
