    Default Corrective actions

I am finally going to send my beauty of a razor off for some professional sharpening. I am told that this will take a few weks to get it back. I hope that it will yield a much better shave when it returns. My double edges will be taking care of me in the meanwhile, would never ever resort to a cartride razor, I am not that deperate. Hoping to get the package to the post tomorrow morning, I will havea bit of troubble trying to explain the package to security in my building so I am going to the post office on the way to work.

Will this be your first razor sharpened by a honemeister?

If it is you will notice a significant improvemnt in your shaves, and it will be money well spent.

Just be careful that you strop it correctly when you get it back.

I have a document that was printed off this web site that demonstrates the technique.

Even better when you get it back for the first shave do not strop it. That way you will not risk dulling the edge and will experience the best first shave. After that you can strop away and then you will know if you round the edge stropping.

Unless the honemeister specifically says not to strop it, I wouldn't follow this advice!
When you do strop, make sure not to lift the spine from the strop, and take islow in the beginning!
