Thanked: 0Shaving the neck
I'M looking for the best way to shave the neck area, right under the ear. I have been shaving with a straight for about two months now. And I always have trouble in that area. I just can't get is close. I seem to have gotten the shave very close except in that area. Any help would be great.
Thanks Jeffrey

Thanked: 3Are you pulling the skin taught? I usually pull what I can around the earlobe area and tilt my head away so that I can obtain as taught a surface as possible.

Jeffrey, do you mean your jawline under your ears? One of my toughest spots is my upper neck/lower jawline down from my ears. I find lots of lather and more very light passes with skin stretching gets me closer shaves in those areas. I don't go for BBS in those spots but smooth. If I futz with those areas too much, rather than getting full out razor burn, the patches get itchy where sometimes I want to claw at them bigtime. So...I just go for less than perfection but still get them smooth and shaven looking.
