If you like the Conk, you'd love Mama Bear's stuff. IMHO it beats most others hands down. This is how all sorts of AD start.

I'm not normally prone to acquisition disorders once I find something that suits my purposes. Part of it is I have a genuine love of maintaining well made things. I built my bicycle from the ground up with the idea that if I can't maintain it, it had best be designed to last for ever. For the bicycle fans in the audience, that means Phil Wood and Campy topped off with a Phil Wood Saddle.
But, I'll keep the Mama Bear idea in mind for when I need more soap.

Thanked: 13249Most of the soaps that we talk about on here are available online only, Mama bear , TGQ, Sue Bee, even now Mike Ratliff's Bay Oil soap....
Every now and then going into the higher end dept store(Nordstrom, Macy's) will yield a high end soap or shave cream score of a brand other then Art of Shaving, Jack Black or Nancy Boy..... (not bad but very overpriced)
The Conk brand soaps are good soaps especially the Amber... But there are way better out there....
Now that you have a Badger brush you should at "try" a shave cream... You can usually find some" Kiss My Face" in some grocery stores (usually in the Organic section) which is a very good low priced shave cream, in fact it is a very good shave cream at any price....
Welcome to the world of Lather and not just sudsy water
