    Thumbs up Progress!

    I'm finally making some inroads.

It wasn't a perfect shave, but it was a lot smoother and closer than the shaves I've had previously. I've managed to build up a decent lather, and I shaved with decent results. My technique is getting there. I still have a lot to learn. The area of the chin, while getting easier, is still tricky aslong with the adams apple bit but it's pretty reassuring to know that the shaves are slowly getting there.

If you're new the main advice I'd give is don't get discouraged when you have your first few shaves. It's tough but it is rewarding when you finally begin to make the right moves. Oh, and ask the kind people here for advice

    Default Finally making some inroads

Dan, Your post is most encouraging. I've been at it about 10 weeks and have a long way to go. The chin is a tough area.
I have recently begun to shave upward, but have to go very slow and gentle.

    Well done. Congratulations.

Try pulling the skin over the adam's apple to the left or right before shaving it, makes it easier for me.

Way to go! Try swallowing and holding your swallow when shaving in your Adam's area.
