After sending my carbon steel off for sharpening as of May 30th, straight shaving made its return today (June 27th). I still believe that I have a lot to learn about getting a proper shave with a straight. Took a few practice swipes at the cheeks and already the straight is doing things that the super speeds can not do and those terrible cartridge razors could never even think of doing. I have a three year old at home so I can not afford to spend hours in the bathroom learning the facial yoga all at once. I am going to have to go at this bit by bit, going to be slow going but I believe I will get there. I did manage to draw blood the first time out as I learned not to bang the blade against my skin rather to place the blade there gently. My pop still thinks that I have taken leave of my senses, he uses as Proctor and Gamble Fusion Phenom. The Mrs has not yet commented at all on the straight.
