Thanked: 0New Razor: Dovo Best Value vs Timor Hamburg Ring
I've been looking at a couple less-than-outrageously-priced razors for a newcomer. Their are two seemingly comparable razors I would like some board feedback on: The Timor "Hamburg Ring" which can be had pre-honed, and the Dovo Best Value. Both come in the 5/8 high carbon fully hollowed blade. Any opinions as to either? Thanks a lot guys.

I've only been using a straight since January and do not have any experience with the Timor, but I started with a pre-honed Dovo set from Vintage Blades as part of a starter set, been very pleased, and was hooked.

Thanked: 2209The vintage Timor razors are of a very thin grind which may not suit some beards. The new ones I have no experience with.

You wont be disappointed with either imo.
