Default A new straight shaver gets a new old stock straight

What would you recommend to teach a new straight shaver to shave with a new-old stock straight razor? I have been shaving a bit and managed to learn how not to need a blood transfusion. I have Dr. Moss's online book.

Pay attention to Dr Moss, watch the forums and vids, watch beard prep, razor prep, and angles. And above all, GO FOR IT!!

Tell us more about how you got on and what problems you're facing. We'll teach you, don't worry. You may get conflicting pieces of advice but that's part of the deal if you are looking for more than on teacter

Got the thing honed so that is not the trouble. Finally learned how not to need a blood transfusion, was pushing to hard. Got the blade at a 30 degree angel to the face and I am getting a lot of hair on the blade but after a few passes my face feels unshaved. I am doing the facial yoga so that is not the problem. I am stropping before each and every shave, it just does not appear too smoth after three passes.
