Round point . . . far better all around choice.

I started out with a round point... It is less likely to bite you but it will bite anyway. Watch what you are doing at all times... the moment you get distracted you will suffer the consequences!
My favourite is the spike point... I like REAL spikes and the idea of softening a spike, to me, seems inadequate. But that's me. I also have an oblique point and love it. I think any good razor is a good razor.
I sport long fluffy sideburns and I find that any poit does the job. The spike is, naturaly, more precise.
BUT if I had to suggest a razor to start up with I would suggest a less dangerous round point! If you are going to buy a spike to dull the edge, send it to me for proper and safe disposal (before you dull it!). Really...
I would even suggest a razor: despite having an oblique edge (I think) I recomend the Wapienica. Cheap, strudy and a fabulous shaver. Can't go wrong with a Wapi!
Welcome aboard! You'll find that this comunity is the best extended family you'll ever find online!
Take care!

I like them all. A nice razor is a nice razor. It doesn't matter to me what the point is - end of story. That said, I do really like the French points. For some reason, it seems like I can see what's what more easily with a Frenchie. That my be an illusion though. Try them all!
