    Default Razor from ebay

    Afternoon All,

I just received a razor I won on ebay.... a
Filarmonica NOVODUR "PARA PROFESIONALES" #12 (5/8) Old Spanish straight razor.

I opened up and noticed some things not mentioned in the description, i.e. a fairly big crack along the bottom of one of the scales and what looks like a small chip along the bevel. The crack was obviously avoided during the pictures of the item.

Should I do anything with regards to feedback or contacting the seller/ebay?

~I like it despite the crack, so would there be anyway to repair it?

Thanks for any and all advice!

    V/R,
    Scott

    Depends on the description...

Can you post a link to the original auction?

I don't think the scales can be repaired if they are celluloid. If they are plastic they can be glued.

    That's why I'm surprised.

I'll go ahead and ask for a refund. Is there any special protocol I should follow?

If paid through PayPal then they have a resolution center to handle disputes. This will get it resolved. You would file under "significantly different then as described." PayPal does have the ability to make the seller do the right thing.

Just send the seller a message through ebay with the problem and your email. I have dealt with this guy and he has always been very good, I'll be surprised if he doesn't come thru for you.

Thanks for the advice, I sent the dispute through PayPal.

Mike- Thanks for the reassurance, I'm pretty new and honestly worried about something not working out.
