Glad to be here
Hi All,
Just thought I'd send a brief introduction, and thank you for all the help so far. There's a great wealth of knowledge and experience here that I'm grateful for.
Started my habit by basically transferring my paychecks to Classic Shaving. Here's where I am so far:
Razors: Dovo tortoise shell 5/8, Filarmonica Doble Temple 7/8
Brush: Vulfix
Strop: Dovo
Stones: Norton 4k/8k
Cream, Pre-oil, Aftershave: Art of Shaving Sandalwood
Thumb: Lots of slices
I've got a Thiers-Issard 6/8 on its way. Figure I'll start by trying all sizes available, then refine my gear.
I haven't tried any other pre or post shave products, brushes, stones or strops, but I'd like to. I've just been focused on the razors so far. Along with my techniuqe. Which, after this morning, could use some refining.
Hope to contribute at some point, and meet some of you IRL.

Since you transferred your paychecks to Classic Shaving just be careful in the homeless shelter so they don't steal your gear.

Welcome to SRP!
Besides the razor sizes, you may want to experiment a bit with razor grinds. I am referring to full hollow, half hollow, quarter hollow, and full wedge styles. I find I prefer the quarter hollow grind.
