Hi Everyone!

Well that's now about 5 months I've been shaving with a straight. It's the best thing I've ever done for my face (my mother commented when she last saw me how good my skin was looking!) and my success with it is wholly down to my lurking idly in the backgound and reading all the advice from you good people!

Now to boast and feel smug. I've just had to do my first bit of honing on the two vintage razors I bought shave-ready from TheInvisibleEdge (amazing service there btw!). They were starting to really pull, so I ordered up a Norton 4K/8K and a Chinese 12K, read a heap more good advice on here then set to work. I actually managed to hone my own razors! And they shave me!

This is definitely a learning process tho; I didn't realise until my first shave after honing just how poor my technique must have been on my first few weeks of shaving with the razors shave-ready the first time round!
