Thanked: 0Saying Hello!
Hey guys,
this is my first post here. I will be picking up my first straight razor tomorrow and i wanted to make sure
i had a place to discuss technique and everything else there is to know about straight razor shaving.
I'm in Vancouver Canada. Anyone else here from around these parts? It's hard to find a place that will sell a straight blade.
Anyway... Hello.

Hi there and welcome to SRP.
May I suggest SRP as THE place to buy and sell all the straight shaving related material. Browse the Classifieds, there are good startup kits/razors for you, or post a WTB (Want to Buy) thread with what you want - in no time you'll be buying a shave ready razor for a better price you'll find in any store.
Have fun

Howdy Maveric, welcome to SRP! There are plenty of shavers and honers around here
in Western Canada. Like Randy said, tell us about your razor and how you plan to
proceed!

Hey Maveric,
Welcome! You're definitely in the right place.
I live in Vancouver. There are a few places in Vancouver that sell straights, including Momentum on Burrard and someplace in Pacific Centre. But you're probably better off with a pre-honed razor to begin with. New razors are rarely if ever truly "shave ready".
If you want to borrow a shave-ready razor to serve as a benchmark, just drop me a line.
Cheers,
Mike
