Thread: Poona - Honemiester in the UK

One of the most common bits of advice given to a newbie is to get your razor honed professionaly so you start with a good edge and have a benchmark of the level of sharpness to maintain.

I have just received back a razor from Poona this morning and the shave it gave me was outstanding.

The razor is a 6/8 Briedora I picked up on e-bay. I cleaned it up a bit myself but as my honing skills aren't yet perfected, I decided to send it to Poona for him to hone. Several days later, the razor returns and the shave it gave me was amazing. He had honed, stropped, cleaned and coated the blade with oil. Quality service.

I have a high end Dovo honed by Lynn and I can honestly say that in my opinion Poona's honing is comparable with Lynn's.

Newbies, you don't have to spend a fortune to get a really good sharp razor. For £25 I was able to buy a decent razor off e-bay and have it honed professionally.
