Thanked: 0I agree, the one closer to the Home Depot is a way better place - it seems like less people end up there, but I prefer it over the one by the cycle store.

Welcome, Merit
I'm going to echo what some of the others have said:
Classifieds here for an antique blade because it's cheaper and every inch as good as a new blade. Plus you'll be working with a tool with history. you can't put a price on that IMO.
The Edwin Jagger best Badger Brush sold by Crabtree & Evelyn is an outstanding brush and will provide yeomen service for many years. A sure thing of quality which is worth its cost.
While we're at it, do yourself a huge favour and consider visiting The Well Shaved Gentleman for a strop. Even Tony's cheapest starter strops are of excellent quality ... and go to Colleen at The Gentlemen's Quarter for some of the best shave soaps and creams known to man at a fair price. You won't be disappointed. Both are the nicest people too.

PS If you're trimming around structured facial hair like a goatee, you should look to a square point (spike tip) razor for detailed precision. Just be sure to remove any needle point by dragging the tip gently along a honing stone in a rolling motion for about 2 or 3 strokes once a year or so.Last edited by xman; 08-27-2008 at 06:25 PM.
