    Question Starter Set

Hi, I've become interested in shaving with a straight razor due to the rather persuasive article on onlyknives.com I came across while looking for a chef's knife. I've searched through several sites looking for a good beginner's set (a decent razor with the basic needed accessories). Does anyone have a decent razor they're looking to get rid of and perhaps the basic accessories I would need? For under $100? Maybe under $70? I may be impractical, let me know. My email is [email protected] if anyone's got anything. Thanks for the help

    START UP

Here is the start up set Kenrup has. It is universally advised.

    Welcome to SRP,

You will find a lot of great information here from people who actually use straight razors. Some have used them for decades, others for few days only, but we are all hear because we like it. If you haven't discovered the sticky posts in the top of this section you'll probably find them useful.
Finding an inexpensive razor and strop won't be too hard.

I tried to contact ken regarding a startup kit with wapi, but haven't heard anything yet.

You should check the classifieds section. You will find many, many straights for under $100. And even more important you will nearly all of them to be truly shave ready. Thus, saving your face from learning how to hone properly...
