Thread: Much Better

Well, day number four with the blade. And it was much better. Only one cut on the right cheek. And that was because I was trying to figure out the right way to go XG to match the hair growth in that area. I am still shaving just areas under the sideburns and cheeks as recommended by Lynn. I did a much better job of generating the lather too. It (CS Rose soap) was thick and stayed full on the beard. The straight did just about as good at WTG and XG on my cheek areas as the safety does with WTG, XG and ATG, and I have only been using the straight for 4 days now. I didn't shave yesterday as it is my traditional day to rest my face from the rigors of shaving. So today I had a 2-day growth. The straight had no problem plowing through the whiskers. No bounces (prevalent with the safeties on 2 moer days of growth), tugs or pulls. Probably because the straight is much heavier that the safety. Progress in the forward direction!!
