Thread: Well, I've done it!

Hi everyone,

I'm pleased to report that I've just placed an order for my first straight razor. I went with this little beauty from Vintage Blades:

VintageÂBladesÂLLCÂ::ÂDovo...

I also went ahead and got the pre-hone option.

I spoke with Jim at Vintage and he was a great source of information and a genuinely nice guy. I'll post again when my baby arrives.

Ahhhhhhhhh the full tilt slide down the slippery slope begins!!!!!!

That would be funny. I don't have a whole lot of cash (I'm a grad. student...we're poor people), so this is gonna be it unless I get really lucky and win something in a give away. But that's not a bad thing.

I want my first time to be special. I've been saving myself.

Congrats on your first straight razor purchase. My first straight razor was a DOVO as well. I buy a lot of my shaving goods from Vintage Blades and Jim is an awesome guy.
