DOVO Straight Razors

Given what you folks have been saying here, would you recommend not going with the Dovo? And if not, what would you recommend? I think I'd prefer a new razor as I'm not sure I'd trust myself to buy a used one at this point as I wouldn't even know what to look for- but it's a little worrisome if new razors are also problematic.

I took the hard way and honed some old auction str8's myself, but I am a die hard. If you just want to concentrate on shaving maybe you should buy a quality razor (check the Wiki on this site for good brands and brands to stay away from) and have it professionaly honed. If you want to hone and shave buy a second to learn honing with and study the honing section here on SRP. THis method will not limit your shaving experiance by your honing skills.
