Sideways hair growth under the chin
Hi,
I wonder if there are techiques people find useful if the hair grows completely sideways on the neck area?
At this point, I'm quite satisfied with the smoothness of my shaves, but the neck area is a bit of a problem. The hair under my chin and generally on the whole neck are grows precisely sideways and I find it virtually impossible to do anything resembling WTG and ATG. So it's up and down XTG passes for me, which don't leave the same level of smoothness as on other parts of my face. It's OK, but I have a feeling it could be better.
Should I just try to improve my neck XTG technique (I find that I still have tendency to use too much pressure under my chin for some reason and the angle is difficult to control) or try to develop some sort of "short stroke ATG" technique on the more difficult, partly concave skin of my neck? I have also tried to do kind of diagonal moves between XTG and ATG (or XTG and WTG) but it's not very easy either.

We've been talking about that HERE. I have the same issue.

There was also another thread where a user posted pictures of how he shaves hairs under his chin that from outwards (away from his throat). Unfortunately, I cannot think of the user's name and I can't seem to find the thread at the moment. I think it was in the "Shaving" section.

my neck is problematic as well. I tend to do neither wtg or atg or xtg on the neck, but rather a crisscrossing diamond pattern, and that takes care of most of it. remember to stretch the skin tight.

I'm getting quite close to shaving comfortably and consistently against the grain everywhere on my neck. If I don't kill myself first, when I iron out the wrinkles in my technique I plan to post a video.
