    Unhappy Burst my baloon?

I just found this place. I had been thinking about going back to blades after many years of fighting with an electric. I have been lurking for about a week, reading everything and gathering information. Yesterday, after deciding it would be a very good starter, I ordered one of the DOVO blades and accessories from Classic Blades, and was very excited. Then, after the order was already placed, I found the post describing the problems with warped DOVO blades. It sure let the air out of my sails!I did order the honing service, so maybe if the blade is warped, they will recognize it and not send it. I can only hope.

I hope this is not a duplicate post; I tried to send one and it seems to have disappeared in the ozone.

    Ill tell ya...
I have a Dovo and had it honed and it is perfection for me. I have been using it a few weeks now and am shaving closer then I EVER did with the old electric or any disposable.

I dont think you will have any disappointments in your purchase.

just my 2 cents and let us know how it goes

and welcome... you'll find lots of info and even more help here

I have 3 Dovos; 2newer, 1 vintage, they are all great razors. If it is warped return it to the vendor with an explanation and let them try again, no sense in paying for 1st rate work and not getting it!

Wow, thanks for the quick replies! Especially thanks for shoring up my confidence. I recognize both your "handles" from my previous lurking, and very much respect your opinions. Thanks again!

Hi Mbrennan, and welcome to SRP!
To put your mind at ease, Dovo's quality control is really very good, in general. Like all products mass produced, there area few defective products that slip past the inspectors. I doubt that this will be the case with your new razor, but if it is, you're fortunate to have dealt with a very professional and reputable vendor - he will, no doubt, make sure that you are satisfied with your purchase.

I also have a new(ish) Dovo and the blade is perfect, so they get a thumbs up from me!

Good luck with the razor and your first shave - you've made the right move!

Lynn is the honer at the honing service from Classic Shaving so it should arrive in great shave ready condition. Enjoy!
