The man also said that he has about a dozen of old straight razors at home and that he will try to find them...

Be very carefull when buying old razors. I made a mistake and buy every one I can put my hand on. Unfortunately only one or two of them is close to usefull razor.

Well, I wouldn't use them all for shaving...
Some of them could be restored and used for displaying...
